Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: 0SM58 Greengate Fresh LLLP - CA - Salinas, CA 93901 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Manufacturing SUMMARY OF POSITION The Sales Coordinator is a pivotal member of the GreenGate Fresh sales team. This individual is responsible for supporting the sales team in attaining the weekly, monthly, and annual targets, and acts as a liaison with management and clients to determine business requirements. The Sales Coordinator helps maintain good customer relationships by acting as an extension of the field sales force, assuring productive communication with new and existing clients, external distributors, representatives, and agents. The Sales Coordinator resolves all complex inquiries from clients and ensures customer satisfaction. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Works in close conjunction with management to gain an accurate picture of the business in terms of budgets, sales expectations, and future trends. Act as an interdepartmental liaison ensuring that sales, marketing, logistics, and production activities are most efficiently integrated. Provide a variety of administrative and clerical support to the sales department. Contact customers and prospective clients to arrange appointments, make follow‑up calls to confirm orders or delivery dates. Provide excellent customer service with excellent problem solving skills and patience. Work closely with Logistics and department managers to ensure coverage of sales. Answer phones and perform filing. Enter sales orders and complaints in the data processing system. Data‑entry: input orders into the company’s computer system and ensure that orders are processed in line with customers’ delivery requirements. Create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel. Request customer credit limit increases when necessary. Observe and practice safety and housekeeping procedures at all times. Handle orders by telephone, email, and mail. Assure accuracy and complete information such as prices, discounts, and product numbers. Act as a first point of contact for urgent calls, emails, and messages when sales representatives are not available. Assist in facilitation of new clientele. Facilitate the highest level of department efficiency and productivity. Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of orders. Contact customers to resolve any queries, inform customers of any delays, and arrange alternative delivery dates when required. Maintain sales records and generate reports on sales by individual representatives, sales by product line, sales to individual customers, etc. for management. Provide information to the Inside Sales manager and VP of Sales & Marketing, accounting department, and Controller, on incoming and completed orders as a basis for forecasting cash flow. Play a key investigative role, conducting detailed research on a given product to determine which areas will be most likely to yield a high number of sales. Collect up‑to‑date information on the status of orders from various company branches and the number of sales attained. QUALIFICATIONS Customer Service experience a plus. At least 3 years prior experience in Agricultural Sales or Operations highly preferred. EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATION / FORMAL TRAINING AA or BA in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; or combination of college coursework and experience. ESSENTIAL ABILITIES Sense of urgency and self‑motivation; ability to work independently and among a team in a collaborative environment. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interface with customers, vendors, and colleagues. Must be accurate, detail‑oriented, dependable, and highly organized with strong analytical skills. Above average customer service skills and customer‑oriented, sales‑driven attitude. Strong computer proficiency with ability to learn new computer software programs and platforms. Intermediate Excel skills, including design and manipulating spreadsheets, are essential. Experience with pivot tables preferred. Type a minimum of 40 wpm.
