About the Job Google’s projects span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while diving into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, multi‑disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You will plan requirements with internal customers, guide projects through the entire lifecycle, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate them clearly to stakeholders. You will explain your team’s analyses to executives and discuss technical trade‑offs with engineers.
You will use your technical and leadership expertise to manage various engineering‑specific programs and teams. The Google TV team is redefining the TV experience to be highly personalized, Google‑smart, content‑forward, and voice‑forward, powered by AI, helping users access the world’s media and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs, including executive and key partner communications.
Establish a reliable cadence for program reviews, decision‑making, prioritization, and resource stewardship, achieving measurable efficiency and utilization gains organization‑wide.
Lead a governance structure that drives effective executive decision‑making and exposes and mitigates dependencies.
Seek out and identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity across multiple teams, applying governance over change management.
Define and manage a program portfolio that solves high‑business‑impact problems for the organization and product area.
Salary & Benefits US: $192,000 - $279,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
