JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager drives profitable, sustainable growth and expands Spring Glen's presence across national, regional, and industrial accounts. This role develops and executes strategic sales initiatives aligned with Spring Glen's long-term objectives while ensuring exceptional customer engagement and operational excellence. The Sales Manager is responsible for retaining and growing existing customers and for identifying, cultivating, and securing new business across foodservice distributors, key operators, industrial partners, and regional and national chains.

Strategic Sales Leadership
Develops and executes sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability goals. Sets clear objectives, quotas, and KPIs; monitors performance and adjusts as needed. Identifies new market opportunities and builds plans to penetrate high-value accounts. Leverages industry relationships and market insights to accelerate growth. Account Management & Business Development Builds and expands long-term relationships with distributors, operators, industrial partners, and national chains. Leads customer engagement through communication, presentations, and culinary demonstrations. Conducts semi-annual business reviews with strategic accounts. Collaborates internally to resolve issues, manage orders, and ensure strong service. Oversees timely receivables collection with Finance. Uses existing industry contacts to open doors and secure new partnerships. Market Insight & Competitive Intelligence Tracks industry trends, competitive activity, pricing, and customer behavior. Provides timely reporting on competitive products, market shifts, and account performance. Recommends strategic adjustments to maintain Spring Glen's competitive position. Team Development & Leadership Coaches Sales Representatives to ensure strong coverage, account growth, and customer satisfaction. Fosters a collaborative, high-performance, results-driven culture. Operational Excellence Aligns sales initiatives with corporate strategy in partnership with the General Manager. Maintains accurate CRM records, forecasts, and account information. Ensures compliance with internal processes, pricing, and customer program requirements. Performs additional duties to support organizational goals. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 2+ years of progressive sales experience in the foodservice industry (industrial, distributor, or operator segments preferred). Established, active sales relationships with major national or regional accounts strongly preferred. Demonstrated success managing large or strategic accounts and consistently achieving growth targets. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including experience with forecasting, pricing, and business planning. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team. Willingness to travel as required.
