Database Administrator/Architect
to join our Software Development Team. The position involves designing databases based on application requirements, administering production and test databases, and monitoring performance and stability of database environments.
Responsibilities
Design databases based on application requirements.
Administer all aspects of production and test databases.
Monitor performance and stability of database environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
5+ years of experience using MySQL (preferred) or Oracle.
Ability to normalize application data into sound database table design.
Proficiency with failover/standby administration, including backup and recovery.
Proficiency with SQL (both DDL and DML).
Familiarity with ACID concepts such as transaction isolation.
Preferred Experience
Proficiency in Java used to interact with databases.
Experience using ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
Experience conducting performance and volume testing.
