Position Overview American Transportation Services has an immediate opening for a qualified trailer/tractor mechanic. Qualified candidates must be a self-starter with the ability to work remotely with little to no supervision. The role involves maintaining trailering equipment and performing minor external repairs on yard spotting equipment (switchers) for a Fortune 500 package delivery company.

Qualifications Qualified Mechanic: 1–3 years as a mechanic, ability to diagnose and repair switchers, trailers, and converter dollies, and must be qualified to perform state and federal inspections.
Responsibilities
Perform FAI and State required inspections
Inspect and repair “S” cam air brake systems
Diagnose and repair anti‑lock brake systems
Perform repairs to commercial trailers and converter dollies in all potential aspects
Familiar with Cummins Insight
Minor body work experience
