What to Expect The Sales Trainee Program is a 12‑month program designed to accelerate a career in sales through rotating training modules, on‑the‑job learning, shadowing, and mentorship.
Learning Path
Participate in workshops, programs, and other learning opportunities to enhance sales skills and industry knowledge.
Engage in training sessions to understand the company’s products, services, sales techniques, and processes.
Shadowing
Observe experienced sales professionals in client interactions, sales strategies, and negotiation techniques.
Follow the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, including customer relationship management and post‑sale support.
Development
Seek feedback from mentors, supervisors, and peers to enhance performance.
Participate in performance evaluations to track progress, identify strengths and improvement areas, and set professional goals.

Program Graduation After successful completion, graduates transition into various sales destination roles. Final placement considers individual preferences and business needs.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the sales team with project tasks, timelines, prospecting, and customer inquiries.
Assist in developing sales proposals, contracts, and other documentation for closing deals.
Coordinate tasks, track progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables for sales projects.
Interact with customers to understand needs, address inquiries, and provide information about products or services.
Capture customer feedback to identify improvement areas and enhance the overall experience.
Take initiative to learn new sales techniques, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or 1‑3 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
A strong desire to work in a sales‑focused role and learn about products, services, sales technologies, and processes at Ferguson.
Self‑motivated with a proven track record of driving results.
A natural inclination toward assisting customers and effectively addressing their needs.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and open to change.
Previous professional experience or internships in sales (preferred).
