Role Description The Field Sales Representative is a full‑time, hybrid role based in the Greenville‑Spartanburg‑Anderson, South Carolina Area, with a combination of in‑field work and some work from home for follow‑up, documentation, and virtual meetings. In this role, the representative visits residential and commercial properties, conducts on‑site roof inspections, and consults with property owners to understand their needs and recommend appropriate repair, installation, or replacement solutions. The position involves generating leads through field canvassing, referrals, local events, and inbound inquiries, as well as managing a sales pipeline from initial contact through proposal, presentation, and closing. The representative prepares estimates, explains product and warranty options, and coordinates closely with operations and scheduling teams to ensure projects start on time and meet customer expectations. Ongoing responsibilities include maintaining accurate CRM records, following up on open opportunities, and providing a high level of customer service before, during, and after each project.
Qualifications
Proven experience in outside or field sales, preferably in roofing, construction, home improvement, or related services, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and explain technical information in clear, customer‑friendly terms.
Comfort working in the field, including visiting job sites, climbing ladders when needed, and conducting basic roof or exterior inspections in a safe manner.
Solid organizational and time‑management abilities, including managing a territory, prioritizing leads, and maintaining accurate digital records in CRM or similar tools.
Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented approach with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with office staff, project managers, and installation crews.
Basic proficiency with smartphones, email, video calls, and online tools for scheduling, documentation, and quoting; willingness to learn company‑specific software.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for daily field travel in the Greenville‑Spartanburg‑Anderson area, and ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends based on customer needs.
