The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience building scalable backend systems, distributed applications, and production infrastructure. This individual will help design and develop the software foundation that powers sophisticated autonomous robotic platforms operating at scale. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex engineering problems, working across disciplines, and taking ownership of systems from concept through deployment and ongoing operation. What You’ll Do
Design, build, and maintain production-grade backend services and platform infrastructure Develop scalable, reliable distributed systems that support mission-critical applications Own services throughout the full lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement Collaborate with software, robotics, autonomy, and infrastructure teams Improve system performance, observability, reliability, and scalability Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices Troubleshoot complex production challenges and drive long-term solutions Help build a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning What We’re Looking For
Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems design experience Experience building and operating production backend services Background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, or platform engineering Proven ability to own complex technical systems end-to-end Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Preferred Experience
Experience with modern systems programming languages such as Rust, Go, C++, Java, or similar Interest in learning and working with Rust Robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, or related technical environments Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native infrastructure Event-driven architectures and real-time systems High-performance or low-latency software systems Why This Role Stands Out
