Position Summary The Information Security Analyst II at the Marvin Group will be responsible for monitoring and protecting the organization from all vectors of cyber-attacks including and not limited to network, hardware, software, cloud, E‑Mail, insider threat and other forms of potential infiltrations and hackers. This position requires the analyst to actively respond to and quell cyberattacks. The ideal Information Security Analyst II has experience in Endpoint Security, Network Security, and experience using industry tools designed to keep an organization safe.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
Monitors systems and networks for security threats.
Conducts audits and risk assessments.
Develops and implements security policies and procedures.
Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports, communicating system status.
Collaborates with IT teams to secure infrastructure.
Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations.
Ensures that fellow employees follow proper security practices, which may include direct engagement.
Skills and Requirements
Basic security certification or cybersecurity‑related certification, or equivalent education or work experience.
Knowledge of information security policies.
Experience with vulnerability assessments and risk analysis.
Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
Proficiency with SIEM tools.
System administration skills.
Network security expertise.
Problem‑solving ability.
Solid understanding of network protocols.
Process improvement skills.
On‑call network troubleshooting experience.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, especially for non‑technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
Attention to detail and adaptability.
Flexible working hours.
Work Environment
Medium‑to‑large office environment.
Fast paced office environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments.
Salary Range Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $90,000 to $120,000
