Assists Maintenance personnel as required. Uses overhead cranes, hoists, lift trucks, conveyors, personnel or burden carriers, and hand trucks to move parts, materials, machinery, and apparatus. Pick up trash Pick up chips and composite sludge/waste Empty waste/oil drums, vacuums, and totes Inventory bulk oil (need inventory sheet) Inventory empty drums on dock Inventory Voss items in scrap cage Check and top off/fill satellite oil stations Clean Mop sink screens & dock sump and trench Clean floor sinks in plant and breakroom Check and replenish floor soaps (5 locations) Check and replenish eye glass stations (4 locations) Check and top off/fill solvent cart & ITL (Work Order) requests Use floor scrubber to clean aisles daily Clean sludge from machines and separators per PM or Work Order with the direction of a Maintenance Technician Keep organized the scrap cage Aerosol can collection and Puncturing Collect & properly dispose of various recycled materials including but not comprehensive: Filter material, paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, e-waste, scrap wire & motors, plastic, misc. metals. Lift uniforms for G&K onto West Mezzanine every Monday morning. Work with snow team for snow removal if needed. Check and replenish, in the winter, salt dispensers at the shop, office and lobby entrances. In the summer months install and remove (at season end) ground hoses for watering plants, etc.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems by using good judgment based on priorities and logic. Perform and Document work or other duties as required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Knowledge of janitorial supplies and equipment.
State licensed driver General Maintenance including painting, moping, cleaning, and general housecleaning Self-starter to work on project assignments.
Skills & Abilities Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of two years experience in a related field. Computer Skills: Basic knowledge in Word, Excel, and SAP. Other Requirements: Lift Truck operation, able to climb ladders and safe use of lifting devices. Work to heights of 20 feet and lift to 75 lbs. Practice and follow the GBP and be knowledgeable in ISO 9001 & 14001. Employee is required to learn, understand, and practice Lean Manufacturing principles within our facility.
