Job Title: Electronics Technician - GE Driver Development (Acousto-Optic Products)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support Assembly, development, testing, and manufacturing of GE (General Electronics) drivers used in acousto-optic products. This role involves hands-on work with analog and digital electronics, RF circuits, power electronics, and precision test equipment to build, troubleshoot, and optimize driver systems for acousto-optic modulators (AOMs), deflectors (AODs), and related photonics products.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic driver circuits for acousto-optic devices. Build and validate RF driver modules, power amplifiers, oscillators, and frequency control systems. Perform PCB assembly, wiring, soldering, and rework of electronic assemblies. Diagnose and repair electronic hardware using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and multimeters. Support engineering teams in prototype development, design verification, and product qualification testing. Conduct performance testing and characterization of acousto-optic driver systems. Document test procedures, troubleshooting activities, and manufacturing processes. Assist with product improvements, cost reductions, and reliability enhancements. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure products meet performance specifications. Maintain calibration and upkeep of laboratory and production test equipment. Support new product introductions and transition from prototype to production. Required Qualifications
High School, Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in electronics assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. (preferred) Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics. Experience working with RF electronics, signal generation, and frequency control circuits. Proficiency using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Experience with PCB assembly, soldering, and component-level troubleshooting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications Preferred but not required
Experience with acousto-optic devices, photonics, laser systems, or electro-optic products. Knowledge of RF amplifier design and impedance matching. Familiarity with PCB design software and electronic CAD tools. Experience supporting low-volume, high-precision manufacturing environments. Understanding of EMI/EMC considerations and electronic product reliability testing. Key Skills
