Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Own the Territory:
Manage and expand a book of business with established consulting engineers, design-build contractors, and key decision-makers across the Northern NJ market.
Engineer the Win:
Analyze project specifications, select optimal equipment, and develop engineered solutions that meet both performance and budget goals.
Act as a Strategic Advisor:
Guide customers through complex HVAC applications with a consultative approach. Deliver clarity, confidence, and value throughout every phase of the buying cycle.
Deliver the Full Klima Experience:
Collaborate with our inside application and estimating teams to ensure seamless proposals and execution.
Promote and Educate:
Represent Klima and our manufacturers through presentations, industry events, and targeted technical discussions.
Drive Results:
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets with a focus on long‑term client relationships, not transactional wins.
Experience and Requirements
5+ years of proven success in HVAC equipment sales (preferably in a manufacturer’s rep or mechanical sales environment)
Strong relationships in the North Jersey engineering or contracting community
Deep understanding of HVAC systems, building design, and mechanical construction
Technical acumen with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Sciences, or Business (or equivalent experience)
