The Position:

The Corporate Controller is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Corporate Controller partners closely with executive leadership to drive financial accuracy, scalability, and operational excellence across the organization. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and overseeing all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close processes
  • Ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies
  • Establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and audit readiness
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors, internal audits, and regulatory examinations, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Directing the preparation of financial reports and providing insights to support executive decision-making and business strategy
  • Overseeing and optimizing financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to support scalability and efficiency
  • Partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, HR, and executive leadership to align financial operations with business objectives
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across accounting operations, including process automation and system enhancements
  • Leading, developing, and mentoring a high-performing accounting team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and succession planning
  • Establishing clear goals, performance expectations, and accountability across the team to ensure alignment with organizational objectives
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the finance organization
  • Evaluating team structure and capabilities, making recommendations to scale and evolve the function as the business grows
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, tax, and financial reporting requirements

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm onsite in either Chesterfield, MO or Frisco, TX

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with leadership experience overseeing accounting functions
  • Strong experience with financial reporting, audits, and internal controls
  • Proven ability to operate at a senior leadership level, partnering with executives and leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial accuracy, scalability, and business performance
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing accounting teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and building organizational structure to support growth.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
