Serve as a front-line technical support resource within the Information Technology team. This role is responsible for providing end-user support, maintaining hardware and software systems, and supporting infrastructure technologies in alignment with the strategic direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The position ensures reliable and secure operation of end-user devices, software, access control systems, and surveillance technologies across the organization.
Responsibilities
Provides technical support to end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Installs, configures, and maintains desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals
Supports software installations, updates, and basic troubleshooting
Assists with user account setup, password resets, and access provisioning in accordance with established policies
Performs device imaging, deployment, and lifecycle support for end-user equipment
Maintains accurate inventory of IT assets, equipment, and supplies
Installs, terminates, tests, and maintains structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber, to support network, telecommunications, access control, and surveillance systems
Administers access control systems, including provisioning/deprovisioning access credentials, troubleshooting badge access issues, and performing system maintenance
Assists with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of video surveillance systems, including cameras, recording systems, and related infrastructure
Coordinates with vendors and internal departments to maintain functionality and security of access control and camera systems
Applies system updates and patches to end-user devices as directed
Follows cybersecurity policies and best practices to protect systems and data
Performs other duties as assigned by the IT Manager
Qualifications
Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and basic networking concepts
Knowledge of desktop and mobile device support
Knowledge of basic troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
Knowledge of access control and surveillance systems (preferred)
Skilled in customer service and technical support
Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving
Skilled in equipment setup and maintenance
Skilled in documentation and communication
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly
Availability for periodic on-call responsibilities
High School Diploma or Equivalent and valid state driver’s license required. Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, certifications, 1 to 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, technical support, or relevant work experience preferred. CompTIA A+ or other relevant certifications preferred.
