Position Summary
Join a high‑impact team at the forefront of fraud prevention and digital transformation. In this newly created role, you will lead the implementation and optimization of a next‑generation fraud orchestration platform that unifies multiple vendor solutions into a single, streamlined experience. Responsibilities
Perform sophisticated data analytics to identify known or previously unidentified criminal behaviours among BMO customer and employee groups. Identify and understand new and emerging fraud patterns, both external and internal. Develop and maintain models, metrics, scenarios, profiles, and parameters to enhance fraud detection systems. Support development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders. Provide key data and analytical support to investigations of people or property of BMO. Apply analytics algorithms and technologies to develop solutions that support decision‑making. Act as a subject‑matter expert on BMO data and data modelling for criminal risk mitigation. Drive innovation through the creation of data products, establishing best practices, and influencing data governance guidelines and policies. Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and executive audiences. Build interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups. Identify and acquire appropriate data for fraud analysis based on knowledge of BMO product, data warehouses, and architectural linkages. Design detection rules and scenarios to maximize the effectiveness of fraud‑detection and prevention programs. Apply statistical, data‑mining, and pattern‑analysis techniques to uncover relationships between transactions, customer data, and fraudulent behaviours. Summarize statistical findings and present actionable business recommendations. Develop and maintain complex technical rules/scenarios to support investigator use. Manage risk and minimize losses through monitoring, control, audits, and verifications in accordance with compliance requirements and policies. Provide leadership on the identification, analysis, and resolution of operational issues. Operate at a group/enterprise‑wide level, serving as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders. Qualifications
Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in a related field. Advanced technical skills and knowledge in fraud and security management. Advanced knowledge of statistical analyses and human behaviour modeling. In‑depth knowledge of risk and technology management as applied to fraud and/or criminal risk. Expert verbal and written communication skills. Expert analytical and problem‑solving skills. Expert influence and collaboration skills, with a focus on cross‑group collaboration. Ability to manage ambiguity and make data‑driven decisions. Salary
$102,000.00 – $190,000.00 (Salaried). Total compensation may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role and may include performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks. Benefits
