This role will drive our product development system and ensures every project moves forward with clear next actions, strong vendor accountability, and on-time deliverables. You’ll coordinate freelance designers and overseas manufacturers, manage sample shipments, and perform hands‑on fitment and testing on real Toyota vehicles. Your mission is to keep a high volume of products flowing through the pipeline while maintaining quality, fitment, and readiness for release.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Opportunity Pipeline Management You will own the management of our product opportunity board.

Drive projects through each stage of the product development system
Maintain clear timelines, next actions, and accountability for every project
Ensure products reach “launch‑ready” status with zero loose ends
Product Design and Development You will own the coordination of in‑house and outsourced design + engineering execution.
Lead in‑house product design using SolidWorks, producing concept models, design iterations, and production‑ready files
Manage freelancers, agencies, and contractors to deliver CAD, drawings, and design revisions
Write clear briefs and requirements for design/engineering deliverables
Track deliverables and hold partners accountable to deadlines
Ensure design outputs meet our standards for fitment, manufacturability, and quality
Product Testing and Fitment You will own the process of validating product testing and fitment.
Receive, install, and test product prototypes on Toyota vehicles
Document fitment, performance, and quality issues with photos, measurements, and notes
Provide actionable revision feedback to designers and manufacturers
Validate final samples prior to approving products for production

Proven ability to manage a high‑volume project portfolio with deadlines, dependencies, and cross‑functional coordination
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to install, test, and evaluate physical product samples on Toyota vehicles
Experience working with overseas suppliers and manufacturers (China, Taiwan, etc.), including communicating revisions and managing timelines
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical drawings and CAD files

Familiarity with the truck and SUV aftermarket space
Experience with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, bending, welding, powder coating, and fasteners
Background in automotive accessories, off‑road products, powersports, or other consumer durable goods categories
Hands‑on experience designing or testing aftermarket components (bumpers, racks, sliders, skid plates, suspension parts, lighting, etc.)
Experience directing freelance industrial designers or CAD contractors and managing design‑to‑production workflows
IS THIS YOU? You're the kind of person who gets satisfaction from seeing a product go from a blank page to a customer's hands, and you care deeply about what it looks like and how well it works along the way. You have strong design instincts and the technical skill to execute in SolidWorks yourself, but you also know how to brief and direct others to get the best output. You thrive in execution mode, love running a clean system, and take pride in keeping projects moving without needing to be chased. You're highly organized, detail‑oriented, and naturally proactive. When something stalls, you notice it immediately and take action to unblock it.
You're also hands‑on and mechanically curious. You don't mind getting dirty, turning wrenches, installing prototypes, and measuring fitment with calipers to validate real‑world performance. You can communicate clearly with designers, engineers, and overseas manufacturers, and you know how to turn ambiguous feedback into precise next steps. Most importantly, you care about building products that are genuinely great in design, in function, and in finish, and you're excited to own the full execution that makes those launches happen.
