The Role We are looking for a motivated MSP Sales Manager to join the team and drive new business development. Client offerings include Microsoft 365 security, cybersecurity, and fractional IT leadership solutions. You will own the full sales cycle—from lead generation and qualification through discovery, proposal, and closing—while building trusted relationships with business owners, IT decision-makers, and executives. This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you are the primary point of contact for prospective clients and help them solve real technology and security challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and qualify new leads via outbound calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and targeted networking in the Western NY market
Identify and engage ideal client profiles (SMBs, professional services firms, and organizations with 20-200 employees) that can benefit from managed services and security programs
Maintain consistent daily activity levels to meet monthly pipeline and revenue targets
Sales Process & Discovery
Conduct consultative discovery calls and meetings to uncover client pain points in IT operations, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 maturity, and compliance
Present tailored solutions including fractional CIO/CISO services, Microsoft 365 security hardening, managed IT, and ongoing support programs
Develop and deliver compelling proposals, demos, and ROI-based business cases
Closing & Account Management
Negotiate and close new managed service agreements and project-based engagements
Work closely with delivery/technical teams to ensure smooth handoff and successful onboarding of new clients
Maintain post-sale relationships to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and drive referrals
Reporting & Process
Accurately track all activities, opportunities, and forecasts
Participate in weekly sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and strategy sessions
Contribute to continuous improvement of sales playbooks, objection handling, and qualification frameworks
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of successful B2B or Inside Sales experience, ideally in technology, MSP, IT services, SaaS, or managed services
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas through outbound prospecting and consultative selling
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, cybersecurity fundamentals, and common IT challenges faced by small-to-medium businesses
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical decision-makers
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
MSP or IT services sales background strongly preferred; experience with HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN) a plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
