Establish network specifications by consulting with users and management, analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements, and designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. Evaluate network performance issues such as availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment. Define network policies and procedures; establish connections and firewalls. Maintain network performance through monitoring, analysis, and tuning; troubleshoot network problems and, when necessary, escalated to vendors. Secure the network by developing access control procedures, monitoring performance and reliability, and maintaining infrastructure documentation. Upgrade network by coordinating with vendors, developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. Meet financial requirements by submitting budget information and gathering quotes on equipment. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and engaging in professional organizations. Protect the organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality of information. Accomplish organizational goals by taking ownership of new requests and exploring opportunities to add value. Demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying managers of concerns and observations. Reinforce the company’s mission and values—Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion, and Dedication—through actions and behaviors. Notify managers and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of Network Administrator experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CCNA highly preferred. Additional Requirements
Casino IT experience preferred. Proficiency with a Windows-based PC. Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, One Note). Experience with shell/terminal programs including telnet, ssh, and remote terminal programs. Extensive experience in network performance tuning through proper configuration of hosts, routers, and switches. Core LAN/WAN experience with Cisco Core, Distribution, and Access layer devices and Cisco IOS. Wireless infrastructure experience, preferably in an Aruba environment. Extensive firewall experience, preferably in a Palo Alto environment. Knowledge in hierarchical switching fabric design and advanced routing. Firewall management knowledge. Network design and implementation experience. Layer 1 cabling experience and knowledge. Strong problem‑solving, strategic planning, and multi‑tasking skills. Strong focus on producing quality work/products. Benefits
