Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following technical and practical abilities to effectively thrive in this position:
BS degree in Civil Engineering
0-3 years’ experience in Civil Engineering
Licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or working towards it within the next year preferred
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Responsibilities This position will require carrying out the following assignments and roles within an interdisciplinary environment:
Work on various tasks within a diverse, multi-disciplinary design team including civil engineers, planners, surveyors, landscape architects, and CAD drafters
Design and prepare engineering documents for specific design components of a project, including sediment erosion control, storm drain design and computations, water and sewer design, grade establishment plans, maintenance of traffic plans, and right-of-way improvement plans
Coordinate efforts with clients, agencies, consultants, and VIKA staff
