This
System Engineering
position is an exciting opportunity responsible for task order execution in support of the highly successful Command and Control Consolidated System supporting the C‑SAR program based in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate, as part of our engineering team, will work with our management, product, and IR&D teams to help create strategic technical visions. Additionally, they will support requirements analysis, system design, reliability analysis, system hardware/software integration, risk management, and system documentation generation/updates. The candidate will work closely with system developers, test, and on‑site user support personnel to support system updates, and ensure project objectives are met.
Responsibilities
Supporting the C‑SAR System Engineering team to ensure all engineering contractual requirements and deliverables are met.
Perform studies and capture technical analysis in support future design reviews.
Participate in CDRLs generation and deliveries based on customer prescribed schedule.
SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices (Atlassian suite).
Requirement’s decomposition and analysis.
System design and architecture.
System documentation generation and updates.
Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions.
Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level.
Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings.
Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings.
Experience and Skills
5+ years engineering experience.
BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent.
Complete knowledge of Agile methodology.
Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews.
Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs).
Candidate must be self‑motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, and system development processes is a plus.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with SCN.
Experience with AWS / Azure / cloud architecture.
Experience with SecDevOps processes.
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) is a plus.
Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or Enterprise Architect.
Security+ certification is not required but is beneficial to the position.
