W.R. Hackett Inc. is a family-owned foodservice distributor serving restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, caterers, and other foodservice operators throughout Ohio. We are seeking an energetic Outside Sales Representative to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships.
Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with foodservice operators, and increasing sales of fresh produce and other foodservice products throughout their assigned territory. This is a field-based sales position requiring regular customer visits, prospecting, and relationship building.
Responsibilities
Prospect and develop new restaurant, catering, healthcare, education, and foodservice accounts
Conduct in-person sales calls and presentations
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts
Introduce new products, seasonal produce, and promotional programs
Collaborate with customer service, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Resolve customer concerns and maintain a high level of service
Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Achieve monthly and annual sales goals
Qualifications
Previous outside sales experience
Foodservice, produce, restaurant, or distribution experience strongly preferred
Self-motivated with strong prospecting and closing skills
Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
Strong organizational and time management skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
