Full Time; 5X8 M-F 9AM-5PM. Must be able to work at any of the 8 main campuses.
Responsibilities:
Participate in hospital-wide continuous readiness activities to facilitate compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert for hospital teams assessing compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with departments on implementing standardized processes for accreditation and regulatory activities.
Facilitate development and monitor completion of corrective action plans and related data measurement and analysis.
Independently assess and respond to requests from surveyors, guiding operational leaders on documentation requirements.
Synthesize complex information for operational and senior leaders and identify areas of risk.
Review and interpret hospital or departmental data to ensure standards are measured appropriately.
Maintain current knowledge of external standards and regulations, serving as a compliance expert.
Design and deliver educational trainings to enhance organizational knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Identify and present areas of regulatory risk to the organization, including senior management.
Participate in hospital regulatory programs, including survey escort, survey runner, and tracing activities.
Manage FSA teams, identifying areas of risk and collaborating on corrective action plans.
Maintain a central repository of all hospital survey activity and provide key reports to leadership.
Participate in various hospital and quality committees, work groups, or task forces as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare-related roles; Quality Assurance experience is crucial.
Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements or experience with regulatory survey activity.
Experience with desktop computer applications and knowledge of database concepts.Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Experience with managing and interpreting data.
Ability to manage multiple activities and meet timelines and deadlines.
Ability to work with a variety of departments and levels of personnel.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree preferred.
3 years of project management experience; ability to plan and lead projects, facilitate project scope, develop project plans, manage timelines, and provide direction and support to project teams.
