Design & Technology Teacher (QTS) Location: Bristol area Salary: £150 - £300 per day, depending on the role | Weekly PAYE pay Start Date: September 2026 About the Role Are you a passionate Design & Technology Teacher who enjoys inspiring creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving? We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Design & Technology Teachers to join secondary schools across Bristol and the surrounding areas from September 2026. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT ready to begin your career, we have a range of flexible long-term and short-term opportunities available. We welcome teachers who are confident delivering lessons across a range of Design & Technology disciplines, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, Food Technology, Textiles, and other D&T specialisms. These supply roles offer the opportunity to work in a variety of schools while helping students develop practical skills and a passion for design. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4. • Teach flexibly across a range of Design & Technology subjects where required. • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment, ensuring high standards of behaviour and workshop safety. • Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement. • Inspire creativity, innovation, and confidence through practical and theoretical learning experiences. Person Specification • QTS preferred, although strong secondary Design & Technology teaching experience will also be considered. • Ability to teach across a range of Design & Technology specialisms. • Passion for inspiring young people through creative and practical learning. • Commitment to equality, inclusion, and diversity in education. • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
