Responsible for supporting TRI-K's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing environment. Assists in implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting employee training, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities:Assist in administering site-wide EHS programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements. Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments throughout manufacturing, warehouse, and laboratory areas. Support Hazard Communication requirements, including SDS management, chemical labeling, and employee awareness. Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and regulatory compliance files. Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up. Track and report safety metrics, including incidents, near misses, corrective actions, and training completion. Assist with environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste management and spill prevention programs. Support employee safety training programs including PPE, chemical handling, forklift safety, emergency response, and respiratory protection. Participate in emergency preparedness activities, evacuation drills, and spill response exercises. Conduct workplace observations and identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve safety performance. Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and R&D personnel to promote safe work practices. Support internal and external audits including GMP, OSHA, ISO, customer, and regulatory inspections. Assist with implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and compliance. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, occupational safety, chemistry, industrial hygiene, or related field preferred 1-3 years of manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial experience preferred Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements Familiarity with chemical handling, PPE requirements, and hazard communication standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to maintain confidential and accurate records Skills & Competencies:Strong attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Problem solving and root cause analysis Organization and documentation management Teamwork and collaboration Safety awareness and risk assessment Ability to influence positive safety behaviors Continuous improvement mindset Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, occupational safety, chemistry, industrial hygiene, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial environment. Internship or co-op experience may be considered. Certificates and Licenses:
OSHA Certification preferred First Aid / CPR Certification preferred Forklift Trainer Certification a plus Work Environment:Manufacturing, warehouse, and laboratory environment Exposure to chemicals, production equipment, and industrial processes Frequent walking throughout the facility Ability to stand for extended periods Occasional lifting, bending, climbing, and reaching Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including respirators when necessary KPIs/Performance Metrics:
