Our team helps Workday to make better people decisions by pioneering innovative people analytics and insights. About the Role
As a People Analytics Data Scientist, you will deliver analytics and insights related to our people, culture, and leadership, working closely with HR Partners, Talent Acquisition, Belonging & Diversity, Total Rewards, and Talent Experience teams. Responsibilities
Interact with business leaders and product teams to identify business questions for data analysis and experiments. Transfer data between systems, especially Workday HRIS and other employee software. Develop algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple sources. Conduct analytical research studies and establish predictive analytics related to recruiting, retention, growth, performance, team effectiveness, and leadership effectiveness aligned with business needs. Identify meaningful insights from qualitative and quantitative data; interpret and communicate findings to business executives and product teams. Partner with People Analytics product colleagues to align insights and strategies and implement as products become live. Create compelling enablement content so that business leaders and People Partners can readily use the insights. Qualifications
Academic background in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Physics, or related fields; advanced degree preferred. Proficiency with 1+ programming languages (e.g., R or Python) and SQL. Experience in cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing structured and unstructured data. Proficient in machine learning methods. Familiarity with AWS and GitHub. Broad knowledge of applied statistics and causal inference. Strong business intuition and data analysis skills, with ability to present findings to executive audiences. Creative and passionate about seeking new solutions to problems and opportunities. At least 3 years of relevant industry experience; early career talent may be considered if outstanding. Compensation
Base pay range: $175,500 - $263,300 USD for the primary location (USA, CA, Pleasanton). Additional US locations: $148,200 - $263,300 USD. The role may be eligible for a bonus plan, commission/bonus, and annual refresh stock grants. Benefits
