Position Summary As a Sales Associate, you are the face of our company, delivering outstanding customer service and building strong relationships. Your responsibilities include selling fine products to restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retail establishments across your territory.
Responsibilities
Generate revenue by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
Compile prospect lists from networking, trade shows, directories, and other sources.
Travel within your assigned territory to secure orders from existing and prospective customers.
Present products using samples or catalogs that highlight key features and benefits.
Quote prices and credit terms, prepare contracts, and provide estimated delivery dates.
Collect payments timely and maintain detailed records of business transactions.
Update internal systems with customer and sales data, manage account receivables, and keep expense reports current.
Collaborate with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
Track inventory levels to align product availability with customer demand.
Build lasting relationships rooted in trust for long‑term collaboration.
How to Thrive in This Role
1–2 years of experience in restaurant sales, food service sales, or professional catering sales is highly desired.
Strong, enthusiastic, and motivated with a high energy and team‑player attitude.
Excellent organizational skills and outstanding verbal and written communication.
Eager to learn and ask questions; a self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
College degree desired but not required.
Comfortable with data‑driven monitoring of progress and goal setting.
Brings a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
Live within commuting distance to your assigned sales area.
Reliable transportation.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
