Overview Under limited direction, work with business process owners and key stakeholders to identify business process improvement opportunities, elicit business requirements, analyze and evaluate solutions options, and deliver business value through new system and process capabilities.
Responsibilities
Configure, develop and implement functionality from 3rd party applications used company-wide to ensure industry best practices are used to complement Paychex Standards while meeting all defined requirements and business needs.
Apply a moderate level of ingenuity and creativity in identifying and defining business needs for major technology research and business initiatives.
Guide the successful completion of major programs or projects. Generally act as a project lead to ensure that project milestones, timelines and overall success criteria are achieved.
Understand the business objectives, focus, and strategy in order to better align projects, resources, and initiatives within the Corporate Program.
Define alternative technical solutions and explore the adaptation of policies, procedures, standards, techniques, materials, and equipment to meet specific internal customer needs and provide the best practice technology solution.
Ensure nominated approaches fulfill business objectives, resolve problem statements and support architecture strategies for all teams involved and facilitate an efficient project process.
Work with business units to identify appropriate vendor solutions for initiatives. Review vendor statements of work and contracts to ensure they meet proposed objectives.
Work with Business Units to define and document user stories/success criteria to support the business need.
Coordinate activities of professional services resources to ensure compliance with timelines and budgets.
Develop and nurture relationships with supported Business Unit line level managers to build trust and encourage the growth of mutual idea sharing.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in IT/Business
8 years of experience in Systems or relevant Business field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Product Ownership - Preferred
Scrum Master background - Preferred
PPM or Black Belt in Lean - Preferred
Comfort in presenting in meetings to high level executives
Problem Solving - Preferred
Communication - Preferred
Verbal Communication Skills - Preferred
Interpersonal Communications - Preferred

Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the compensation range for this position is typically $64,500.00 - $101,400.00 annually. This range includes both base pay plus commissions but does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
