À propos
Astreya is looking for a Network Engineer with experience in Infrastructure Space & Power Design. This role will be responsible for planning, designing, and delivering physical network infrastructure that enables reliable, scalable operations across global data center environments. The focus is on space planning, power and electrical systems, and end‑to‑end infrastructure delivery, from early requirements definition through commissioning and operational handoff. The individual brings deep expertise in data‑center connectivity and network infrastructure design, and partners cross‑functionally with engineering, design, construction, and operations teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives, technical standards, and long‑term growth requirements. Key Responsibilities
Represent network infrastructure design and deployment requirements across global data center environments. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, design, construction, and operations) to define and integrate space, power, cooling, and connectivity requirements into data center designs and standards. Support the development and evolution of network infrastructure standards, technical references, and design processes. Conduct construction administration and site visits; partner with architects, engineers, contractors, and construction teams to validate network builds against standards. Provide guidance and education to design, construction, and operations teams to ensure alignment with design intent and minimize site‑level deviations. Support commissioning, provisioning, and operational readiness of network infrastructure across global sites. Drive strategic initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, innovation, and standardization of network infrastructure. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, cross‑functional partners, and external vendors. Support automation, tooling & AI initiatives to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency across infrastructure design and deployment. Required Skills & Qualifications
5‑7+ years of experience designing and deploying data center connectivity infrastructure. Deep knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic systems, including design standards and installation best practices. Working knowledge of fault‑tolerant power and cooling architectures supporting high‑availability environments. General understanding of data center design, construction, and commissioning processes. Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and driving large‑scale infrastructure design efforts. Strong problem‑solving skills with ability to set strategic direction and execute tactically. Working knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching), optical transport (DWDM, transceivers), and redundancy concepts. Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and collaborate across teams. Strong prioritization, multitasking, and communication skills. Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities, Infrastructure, or a related field. Professional Engineering (PE) license or relevant data center design certifications (preferred). Electrical safety certifications (e.g., NFPA, OSHA). Data center certifications (e.g., CDCP or equivalent). Additional Requirements
Experience leading and managing matrixed technical teams. Familiarity with data center facilities and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) infrastructure (e.g., BMS, DAS, WiFi, PTP, fire protection, physical security systems). Working knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems. Experience with AutoDesk tools. Familiarity with Linux‑based systems and scripting/automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl). Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve workflows and drive measurable advancements. Flexibility to support off‑hours work for critical cutovers, testing, or incident response. Ability to travel for on‑site surveys, construction walks, commissioning, and issue resolution as needed. Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $114,000.00 – $180,000.00 USD (base pay only, gross). Additional compensation may include performance‑based bonuses, benefits‑related payments, or other incentives, which are discretionary. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits, continuing education, corporate wellness, employee assistance program, 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays, and statutory leaves, as required by law.
