The HR Manager will be part of the leadership team reporting to the CEO. This position will oversee and manage the HR function across several privately held SERVPRO locations (namely, San Diego, CA and Eugene, OR). This role will drive the company culture by serving as the primary subject matter expert in all things related to employees and the employee experience for all franchise locations.
Essential duties include establishing trusted partnerships across the franchise, partnering with managers on performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, rewards, and workforce planning, coaching and advising managers on employee relations issues, developing consistent and fair personnel policies, ensuring organizational compliance with employment laws, managing recruitment and onboarding processes, managing leave of absence and short-term disability, partnering with the third-party payroll company, overseeing compensation analysis, developing safety programs, submitting and tracking worker's compensation claims, maintaining the Safety Manual, and supporting the delivery of training and development programs.
Qualification requirements include a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, minimum of 5 years as HR Generalist/HR Business Partner, excellent relationship building skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related HRIS software, and the ability to travel quarterly.
