Hours/shifts: Our openings include full-time, part-time, PRN.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments as defined by state regulations in accordance with approved techniques and notes time and amount on resident's chart.
  • Deliver routine daily medications as prescribed by physician to residents; pass resident medications in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the medication administration record (MAR).
  • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms and records; documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered and reports to nursing supervisor.
  • Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified procedures.
  • Document completion of tasks delivered on a daily basis; document any observed change of condition in accordance with local rules and regulations.
