Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of carpentry, renovation, and repair projects throughout our residential apartment communities. The ideal candidate has experience with apartment renovations, unit turnovers, drywall repair, cabinetry, doors, windows, and general construction work. This role offers an opportunity to utilize your craftsmanship while helping maintain high-quality apartment homes for our residents. Key Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain a variety of building materials and finishes, including:
Drywall Cabinets Doors and windows Tile and flooring Insulation Trim and finish carpentry
Complete apartment renovations, unit turns, and move-in ready repairs Measure, cut, shape, and install materials according to project specifications Rebuild and install cabinets, doors, and other interior fixtures Perform drywall installation, patching, finishing, and repairs Complete touch-up painting related to repair and renovation work Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition Assist with general maintenance tasks and property improvement projects as needed Document completed work and communicate maintenance needs to management Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied apartment homes Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, Fair Housing regulations, and industry best practices Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather events, including salting, shoveling, and pretreatment activities Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and maintenance shop Safeguard all property keys and company assets Travel between company properties as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and construction techniques Experience with residential renovations, apartment turns, and property maintenance Excellent drywall repair and finishing skills Experience with kitchen and bathroom renovations, including ceramic tile installation Experience installing and repairing interior doors, cabinets, and trim Ability to read measurements and perform accurate calculations Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum 2 years of carpentry, renovation, construction, or apartment maintenance experience preferred Valid driver's license required Reliable transportation required during all scheduled shifts Must provide reliable phone and email contact information Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to bend, kneel, squat, climb, reach, and work in confined or elevated spaces Must supply and maintain tools necessary to perform daily job duties May be required to work at multiple company locations Benefits offered: Transportation Allowance Company-Provided Cell Phone 8 Paid Holidays Paid Funeral Leave & Jury Duty Leave Health Benefits
