Job Summary As a Customer Service Associate, you combine top‑notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping at Lowe’s. You will welcome customers, help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs, and support other departments as required.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
Down‑stock merchandise by finding empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise on time.
Cross‑functionally train in other areas of the store to improve service delivery.
Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Six months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Six months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bi‑lingual skills.
Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials).
Travel Requirements This role does not require regular travel, but may need to travel occasionally for meetings, training, or support to neighboring stores.
Working Conditions The role may involve both indoor and outdoor weather conditions. You may be exposed to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noise in addition to moving or shaking equipment. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume, with single lifts limited to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and powered equipment should be used as required with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Pay Range $16.00 – $16.65 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors such as location, education, training, and experience.
