Quality Assurance Lab Coordinator – Memorial Hospital – Belleville, IL Position Details
Day Shift Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm (hours flexible); no weekends or holidays. Occasional travel to other locations. Responsibilities
Serve as the designated quality representative in compliance with AABB, CAP, and other regulatory standards. Ensure continuous inspection readiness across all Memorial laboratories and departments. Lead internal audits, mock inspections, and regulatory compliance activities. Oversee nonconformance management. Standardize document control, policy oversight, and quality processes. Maintain continuous mandatory regulatory readiness for accrediting agencies; coordinate and manage external regulatory inspections. Perform validation and verification audits required by all regulatory bodies, including good clinical practices and competency assessment and documentation. Investigate and evaluate events for risk potential, loss minimization, and proper documentation; use risk‑factor data to develop interventions and process improvement strategies. Participate in the development and implementation of the Quality Management Plan in accordance with regulatory requirements. Provide consultation and support to clinical teams related to performance and quality improvement initiatives and metric development and management. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Life Sciences, or a related field. 2–5 years of laboratory experience. Certifications: MLS ASCP or equivalent, RTR or equivalent, and any other relevant certification or license in the area of expertise. Preferred Qualifications
