Responsibilities
Manages the day-to-day activities for a moderately complex Technical or non-Technical project.
Manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
May conduct performance/project analyses to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs.
Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
Plans and executes all aspects of project management for assigned IT projects and assists the Government to meet contract performance objectives.
Responsible for all aspects of project management from requirements to delivery.
Conducts regular meetings with Government leads to deliver clear and concise project status updates to include all relevant elements of project management.
Responsible for producing all project management documentation for the life of the project.
Qualifications
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required.
Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
5+ years' experience supporting or leading IT projects utilizing project management principles.
1+ years' experience as the lead project manager overseeing IT projects with a proven track record of meeting project deliverables on time and within budget.
Expert in creating, executing, and documenting project plans from requirements gathering to charter approval to schedule to delivery.
At least one of the following certifications is preferred: Agile Certified Practitioner (formally PMI-ACP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified associate in project management (CAPM), CompTIA Project+, or other certification exemplifying Project Management skills.
