Job Description CGI is seeking an enthusiastic, mid-level business analyst to join a high performing Agile team in designing and building services based web applications for a large government agency. Our team is using a modern development stack with various open source technologies. You will have the opportunity to grow your leadership and consulting skills with in demand technologies in a fast paced environment as part of an exciting, positive team that moves quickly and delivers quality software alongside a passionate customer.
The ideal candidate for this position is a problem solver with excellent communication skills and the initiative to self govern. This job supports various analytical aspects of the SDLC, requires regular judgement and discretion to collaborate with customers, and a proactive nature to keep up with and even stay ahead of evolving priorities.
Location & Work Model Position can be located at Fairfax, VA; Lafayette, LA; and Knoxville, TN. A hybrid working model is acceptable. This position is located in Fairfax, VA.
Responsibilities
Effectively and respectfully communicate with team members, customers, partners, and management both in person and over the phone with a willingness to be on camera.
Work with customers to build organizational knowledge and understand the software ecosystem to drive quality business solutions.
Participate in the full SDLC on the Agile scrum team in various roles.
Participate in requirements and design discussions translating business needs into detailed, actionable requirements documentation and user interface designs for new capabilities and enhancements.
Support various aspects of testing (generating test plans and test cases, executing test cases, and defect management) to ensure minimal production defects are realized.
Participate in user support by triaging help desk tickets, troubleshooting user issues, logging defects, and generating and delivering training/help resource materials.
Analyze data to determine business problems, trends, or opportunities for process improvements.
Participate in planning sessions to curate the development backlog and maintain project roadmaps.
Create and maintain deliverables such as SOPs, security assessments, monthly/quarterly analysis and reports, and agendas/meeting notes.
Ensure compliance to required standards and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Positive, can do attitude with a desire to contribute to team success.
Strong collaboration skills with both internal team members and external stakeholders.
Experience with performing functional analysis of emerging requirements.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment under tight timelines.
Ability to multi task and support multiple projects at once.
Desired Qualifications
At least 4+ years of directly related experience.
Bachelor's Degree for minimum education.
Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
Compensation Range A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 - $153,300.00.
