Overview The Backend Developer will focus on transitioning from Java-based to Node.js-based microservices and migrating services to AWS ECS Fargate within the Card Tech-Card Decisioning team at Capital One.
Position Develop, maintain, and optimize Node.js microservices. Support AWS ECS and Fargate-based platform services. Assist in migrating Java-based microservices to Node.js. Build scalable backend solutions with AWS integration.
Responsibilities Develop and optimize Node.js microservices. Migrate Java-based services to Node.js. Integrate with AWS services like SQS, Lambda, and Aurora SQL. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot critical issues. Optionally, implement AWS Step Functions.
Requirement Qualifications Extensive experience with Node.js. Proficiency in AWS (ECS, SQS, Lambda, Fargate). Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Aurora SQL. Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka or similar). Good-to-have: AWS Step Functions experience.
