Position Summary The Embedded Software Engineering Internship offers a great opportunity to assist the engineering organization while growing your knowledge base through hands‑on experience. This role will interface with engineers to develop software‑based tools and embedded firmware that strengthen technical support for Parker's electric vehicle products. This may include supporting firmware feature development, building and improving lab tools, testing and developing documentation. Other duties may be assigned as needed based on your skills and organizational requirements.
Responsibilities Assist with firmware feature development, build and improve lab tools, test and develop documentation, and support other duties as needed based on team requirements.
Qualifications
Student entering Junior or Senior year of school in the Fall of 2026.
Student majoring in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related major.
Experience with embedded C/C++ firmware development. Experience with Python or equivalent programming language.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated proficiency with debugging and validation tools for embedded systems.
Working knowledge of serial interfaces and embedded communication protocols.
Working knowledge of source control and collaborative development practices.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude with passion for growth and a can‑do approach to obstacles.
Ability to work in a flexible and changing environment.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $25/hr to $27/hr
