Initially, the internship focuses heavily on training and development. Sales interns are exposed to other areas of the company, including marketing, to gain a holistic view of what makes Sandhills successful. Continuing education is also important as our products and technology evolve.
The goal is for the intern to gather listings and sell advertisements from our customers across the variety of industries served by Sandhills Global. The intern will learn about company products and business objectives, shadow department members to gain exposure to sales strategies, and participate in a quick sales process where many interns earn an average of $25/hour+ after training.
The intern will also be responsible for servicing customers, including acquiring and servicing new and existing accounts. They will learn and apply different sales techniques, develop advertisements for customers, research prospective advertisers, place sales orders, maintain sales records, and collect payment. Other duties as assigned may also be required.
Ability to commute when scheduled to the local office is required
