Role Overview Serve as an inside sales representative and project manager to coordinate customer support activities from quote to delivery. Pre‑sale job duties include educating the customer, understanding and interpreting project requirements, developing specifications, providing quotes and obtaining contracts and deposits. Post‑sale duties include sales order entry, order coordination with technical services, manufacturing and delivery.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify, qualify and pursue new customer opportunities while building strong relationships within your territory.
Consult with customers to understand project requirements, provide product recommendations and develop solutions that meet their needs.
Prepare professional project estimates and quotes for metal building systems, residential metal roofing and component products while actively following up to secure new business.
Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through order completion, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Review orders thoroughly with customers prior to submission to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Enter orders into company systems and coordinate with internal teams to ensure products and services are delivered accurately, on time, and according to customer expectations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, providing exceptional service and timely communication.
Resolve post‑delivery issues including shortages, damages, delays, changes and field‑related concerns while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Ensure all sales activities comply with company pricing guidelines, policies and procedures.
Act as liaison between customers and internal departments to address concerns, communicate project updates and support successful project outcomes.
Monitor market activity, competitive trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Deliver a high level of customer service by providing responsive support, accurate information and proactive follow‑up.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure customers receive the best possible experience from quote through delivery.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of business objectives.
Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer‑first mindset.
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring quotes, orders and customer information are processed accurately and on time.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
Team‑oriented approach with a willingness to collaborate across departments to deliver outstanding customer experience.
Comfortable learning and utilizing ERP systems, quoting tools and other business applications.
Solution‑oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous learning, professional development and process improvement.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership for individual performance and customer satisfaction.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Bi‑lingual is preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience in a sales, customer service, inside sales or service‑oriented environment preferred.
Strong customer service, relationship‑building and interpersonal skills.
Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Demonstrated professionalism, reliability and strong work ethic.
Proficiency with computers and business software applications required.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
100% office‑based
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
Ability to stand, walk and remain on your feet for extended periods as needed.
Work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, fumes and non‑climate‑controlled areas.
Ability to work effectively in environments with varying noise levels.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing and office setting while interacting with customers and internal teams.
