Provides clinical training and support to customers, as a subject matter expert, on‑site and/or remotely to ensure the customer is prepared to operate their equipment according to safe and effective use guidelines and to fully utilize the complex functionality of the technology to meet their business needs.
As a Clinical Specialist, you will support VIS products and procedures by assisting, training, and educating physicians, nurses, other hospital staff, and technicians on the use of our products.
While the role will be primarily locally based, the position may require regional and local travel if required (approx. 60%).
Role Responsibilities Provide in‑person case coverage
Ensures product(s) and ancillary components are available for each case.
Completes and processes all procedure‑related paperwork as required.
Tracks and reports all customer complaints.
Ensures physicians and staff have the most current information available.
Manages a disposable inventory sufficient to cover assigned case load.
Brings products (including Microwave and Cryoablation generators) to cases as required.
Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on use of assigned VIS products
Provides on‑site clinical support during procedures while maintaining a “hands off” posture in relation to direct patient contact.
Interacts with customers and functional organizations to determine their training needs and uses engineering documentation such as Operators Manuals and DFUs to develop content of courses.
May coordinate or lead customer and/or employee training classes.
May also conduct large group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows.
May also provide demo support to local, regional and national customer trade events.
Provides first line product technical support
Performs new installation support to ensure products are working as specified.
Provides first line technical service support via Engineering or Field Service Engineer oversight, when necessary.
Collaborates with the VIS Medical Affairs Team
Assists Medical Education, Medical Information, and Medical Science Liaisons if required.
Documents day to day interactions with physician customers.
Provides competitive product performance information to headquarters marketing or engineering groups.
Position Requirements
Full access to Siemens Healthineers client sites to perform essential functions.
Must meet all vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training.
Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
Clinical background – IR/CT Technician, Operating Room Nurse or Surgical Technician preferred.
Experience and knowledge of IR suite, Operating Room Protocol and Sterile Technique.
Experience in supporting vascular procedures highly regarded.
Experience in supporting tissue ablation procedures highly regarded.
Ability to work in a high‑intensity, fast‑paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Analytical with an ability/desire to solve problems.
Team player.
Ability to lift approximately 150 pounds.
Base Pay Range $102,600 – $141,075
