Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage, oversee, and coordinate all types of projects from award through completion of project, including overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget as required by the contract.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preparation of project installation plan, manages the plan, and prepares and implement job procedures.
  • Review and approve estimated costs prior to bid.
  • Assists in scheduling technicians and participates in Ops meetings.
  • Supervision of project design engineering when necessary.
  • Assists in/or direct supervision of installation labor and subcontractor's preparation of project schedules, subcontracts, change proposals, project invoices; manages collections on projects.
  • Proactively communicate project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required and maintain accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Utilize financial systems to review actual vs. estimated job cost and provide timely and accurate project cost reports.
  • Identify reason for low job site productivity and determine impact on the project.
  • Assist with/or direct adjusting or correcting project plan and/or project cost estimates as necessary to meet financial goals.
  • Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a weekly basis with customer and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction. Assists in the procurement of materials, supplies, services, and controls necessary for timely and cost-effective completion of project within budget.
  • Adjust or correct project plan and assist with change orders as necessary to meet financial goals.
  • Assure that all change orders are booked and billed to meet financial goals.
  • Manage the execution and review of all scope of work, terms and conditions in customer contracts including cost control, delivery fulfillment, and quality of service and other customer requirements as they arise.
  • Prepare close out documents for customer approval.
  • Facilitate handoff documents for service department.
  • Assist with setting goals for performance and deadlines to ensure that team members understand the vision and direction of the company.
  • Organize workflow to ensure that employees understand duties, tasks, and direction.
  • Monitor team members success/performance and provide feedback and coaching

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 1+ years of experience in project management, preferably in security systems, construction, or technology integration
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach to risk management
  • Budget management and cost control expertise
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA, ADA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
  • Relevant technical certifications related to security systems or IT integration (e.g., CompTIA, Axis Certified Professional)
  • Familiarity with security systems, access control, CCTV, or intercom systems
  • Basic understanding of data center operations or construction environments

Salary: $70 - 98k per year depending on experience
