Role Description This is a contract position with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring presence in Irvine, CA, while allowing some work from home opportunities. The Network Administrator will be responsible for deploying, managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring network security and connectivity across all systems. The role involves working with network hardware, monitoring performance, performing routine upgrades, and collaborating with IT teams to resolve issues. Additionally, the role will involve implementing security protocols, managing user access, and supporting IT-related projects for internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications Proficiency in network design, implementation, and maintenance, including experience with LAN, WAN, and VPN networks Extensive knowledge of network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls Strong skills in network security, data backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning Experience with monitoring and analyzing network performance to ensure optimal functionality Familiarity with IT systems integration, troubleshooting, and technical support, including diagnosing network issues Understanding of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and virtualization technologies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; certifications like CCNA or Network+ are a plus Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment Prior experience in software consulting or IT services is advantageous
