MDA Communications Network Engineer Parsons is looking for a highly skilled Communications Network Engineer to provide engineering, technical, and project management expertise to build and deploy robust, end‑to‑end, high‑availability communication networks for the sharing of information across all MDS assets.
What You'll Be Doing
Perform systems engineering and integration for Military SATCOM Architecture studies, long‑haul communications engineering, and analysis including site selections, surveys, strategic capability development, site planning, facility requirements, design support, on‑site construction oversight, and installation leadership.
Provide technical analysis of DISA‑provided designs.
Assist the government in overseeing the prime contractor’s development of the BCN.
Develop facility requirements and participate in design reviews; coordinate installation of facility requirements.
Facilitate working groups and technical interchange meetings.
Integrate communication system components into larger systems.
Draft briefs, decision papers, and staff coordination packages for senior leadership.
Perform assessments of detailed network test data.
Travel up to 25% of the time.
Required Skills
Master's degree in STEM and 12+ years of experience.
Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred).
Experience with RF communication system design.
Experience with DoD terrestrial and satellite communication systems (MILSATCOM), tactical data links (TDL J, Link 11, Link 16), encryption systems, and DoD RMF.
Understanding of telecommunication systems test data.
Familiarity with requirements and design review processes.
Knowledge of how requirements flow from system specifications to element specifications.
Desired Skills
Experience with Missile Defense Agency and DISA services.
Experience with large‑scale construction projects.
Ability to obtain, maintain, or currently hold a security clearance.
Security Clearance Requirement An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
Salary Range $134,100.00 – $241,400.00
