Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced Engineer to support Rotors design within the Military Development Fan/LPC Design team. The role provides an opportunity to lead design for Rotors, drive improvements, address technical issues, support production ramp, and collaborate with multiple disciplines. Key Responsibilities
Support Military Development Fan/LPC program through final validation tests, production ramp, and into production build phase. Provide assembly/test support for IBRs on final validation and initial production builds, addressing inquiries from the assembly team and quality notifications. Identify opportunities to expand tolerances, improve part producibility, support manufacturing processes with vendors, and execute engineering changes as needed (Class II, Must Conform, Production Alteration). Execute Engineering First Piece Reviews on rotor hardware. Model IBRs and create sectors to support aero and structures analysis of life, quality notifications, and redesign proposals. Support production and development quality notifications, creating PPT packages, executing non‑conformance analysis, and determining acceptability, disposition, documentation, and QN closure. Required Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience OR Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience. Experience with rotor hardware, reading blueprints, and manufacturing methods. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications
M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with engineering standard work. Experience with engineering change processes (Class II, Must Conform, etc). Proficiency in Teamcenter, NX, Tol Stacking, and blueprints. Quality Notification support experience and SAP proficiency. Onsite: Employees working primarily onsite at the assigned site. Benefits
Salary range: $86,800 - $165,200 USD.
