Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
0–2 years of experience.
In pursuit of or have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam a plus.
Understanding of design software; experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Inventor is a plus.
Basic ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations (NESC, AXCE, IEEE).
Developing analytical and organizational skills, with growing attention to detail and a willingness to learn problem‑solving approaches.
Adaptable and eager to learn, with a foundational ability to collaborate with project teams in a multi‑discipline environment.
Developing written and verbal communication skills with a strong willingness to learn and engage effectively with team members.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design of high‑voltage substations (15 kV to 500 kV) using design software.
Implement client standards and applicable design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
Coordinate drawing development and CAD‑based design tasks.
Collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing while continuing to grow technical expertise.
Accountable for the quality of your deliverables and for supporting peer reviews to uphold team standards.
Engage with clients to clarify technical requirements, contribute to project updates, and ensure alignment with expectations.
Execute project tasks independently within established scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
Participate in occasional site walks for current projects. Less than 5% travel.
