Improved data gathering and analysis is a priority for the Perot Museum in helping to understand visitor behavior and expectations, donor priorities, and trends in education. As a member of the Insights and Analytics team, the Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing the accuracy of the museum’s data, creating readily accessible dashboards and key performance metrics, providing participation data needed in grant applications and other fundraising initiatives, and forecasting program participation. In addition, the Data Analyst will work closely with other teams in the organization’s maintenance of its data. Critical to the success of this role is the ability to build strong, cooperative working relationships with stakeholders as well as the ability to communicate clearly and understandably.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop accurate internal dashboards and contribute to the development of metrics
Serve as a collaborative thought partner with departments across the museum to provide data/information and analysis helpful to improved management of their areas
Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests in an effective manner
Provide accurate data for Board meetings and other internal meetings
Work closely with I.T. team and implementation partners in process development within systems
Evaluate quantitative and qualitative survey results and lead as well as aid in the development of surveys
