Job Responsibilities
Hire, train and conduct performance evaluations.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the inbound team to ensure accurate and timely receipt of goods.
Verify and maintain accurate records of all incoming shipments and communicate discrepancies to appropriate parties.
Promote and ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and shipping standards.
Monitor staffing levels and delegate tasks to maintain productivity and efficiency.
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
Partner with Inventory Control and Purchasing to resolve inventory discrepancies and improve inbound processes.
Use WMS (Warehouse Management System) and other systems to track inbound shipments and update records.
Conduct regular audits of inbound processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred. College coursework is desired.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership, management, or supervisory role in a warehouse setting. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of inventory systems and logistics processes.
Knowledge of WMS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
High proficiency in Microsoft office, especially excel.
Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Goal-oriented with proven record of self-motivation and achievement.
Demonstrated teamwork skills across entire organization.
Must have excellent people management and time management skills and abilities.
Ability to meet deadlines.
