Job Title
Pay Range: $60hr - $65hr Requirement/Must Have:
3+ Years of Experience with MS T-SQL (Stored Procedures, Advanced Queries, Optimization). 3+ Years of Experience with ETL Process Development. 1+ Year of Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). 3+ Years of Experience with Report Development. 3+ Years of Experience with Data Warehousing & Relational Databases. 1+ Year of Experience with HL7 v 2.3.1 - 5.1 and ORU Messages. 3+ Years of Experience with XML. 3+ Years of Experience with MS SQL Server 2016+. 1+ Year of Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, CJIS, PHI, PII. Responsibilities:
Candidates should be self-motivated, team-oriented, work under limited supervision, and respond to priority tasks. Independently research and design processes, create specifications, develop, lead testing, perform code reviews, actively engage with the team and stakeholders, attend meetings, provide guidance, and respond promptly. Support the STD / HIV program area including requirements gathering with customers, providing technical advice, time and effort estimates, and project documentation including status reporting. Expected work includes process development and automation, ETL solutions, advanced querying, stored procedure creation, parsing various data formats including XML and HL7, SSIS development and debugging, and reporting. Help with testing, validations, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. Ensure systems are following industry best practices to ensure strategic initiatives and compliance with federal regulatory laws and ensure business continuity. Provide proactive monitoring processes for immediate identification and resolution of data processing issues. Work closely with members of the Systems Integration, Health Data Visualizations, and Database Administration teams as well as STD / HIV program staff. Participate in a team providing STD HIV system and data migration support, data pipeline improvement and monitoring, data warehousing and reporting. Coordinate with the assigned IT Section Manager and Team Lead on daily assignments/tasks. Advise staff on code conversions, database and query design, optimization, process improvements and automation, validations, reporting, and report creation. Prepare and maintain process documentation, data flows, and diagrams for assigned processes. Assist with project and time management including estimates and status reporting. Monitor production processing to ensure proper data flow and response times. Support related server, database, software upgrades, and new environment configuration. Nice to Have:
Ability to manage large data sets (1 TB+). Requirements Gathering & Documentation. Public Health / Disease Surveillance Systems Experience. Statistical Analysis System (SAS). LOINC / SNOMED. FASTQ FILES AND DEMULTIPLEXING. R & RStudio. Skills:
Microsoft SQL Server (2016+), T-SQL, SSMS. SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL/Data Pipeline development. Data Warehousing environments and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI). HL7 v2.x (including ORU), XML, CSV, and other structured data formats. Healthcare/public health data systems (e.g., EDSS, eHARS, CDC reporting systems). Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) and data exchange integrations. SAS (legacy processes) and scripting for data transformation. HIPAA, PHI/PII, and CDC data standards and security compliance. Qualification And Education:
Ability to deal effectively with the needs of technical peers, technical and user management, users, vendors, and staff members. Solid background in data integration, staging, quality and distribution. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
