The Role We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to help build the analytics foundation at Greater Good Health. Our ideal candidate will be analytical, collaborative, and scrappy. The candidate must be obsessed with continuous improvement – exhibiting a growth mindset personally/professionally, while driving to create continual improvements to our Analytics processes and capabilities.
As an early hire on our Data Analytics team, this role will come with a great deal of autonomy, a broad scope, and will allow you to put your fingerprints on our processes as we build it from the ground up. From day one, you will have an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our daily operations, and a lasting influence on our growth plans.
Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and summarize reports, while working to automate and streamline them into automated dashboards
Conduct full lifecycle of analytics projects, including pulling, manipulating, and exporting data
Develop analyses that identify trends and meaningful improvement opportunities; communicate findings to key stakeholders across the business
Act as a liaison between staff and management, analyzing and interpreting data
Prepare, analyze, and summarize various weekly, monthly, and periodic operational results for use by various key stakeholders
Participate in regular meetings with management, assessing and addressing issues to identify and implement improvements toward efficient operations
Qualifications
4+ years’ experience with advanced analytical skills, including collecting, organizing, analyzing data, and communicating findings, preferably to executive-level leaders, and preferably in a healthcare environment
Strong technical skills – Power BI and advanced Excel experience required; Snowflake or equivalent SQL experience preferred
Claims experience preferred – Understanding/analyzing large claims datasets and deriving insights from them
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent project management skills - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to support various team members; ability to complete assignments in a thorough, accurate, and timely manner; attention to detail and follow-through to meet deliverables
