Transitional Technologies, in business since 2003, is hiring a Network Engineer to support our clients through proactive network management. We consider only team players and well-rounded individuals.
Located in Louisville, KY, we serve clients in the Louisville Metro region. Most work is remote, minimizing travel unless necessary.
Role Description: The Service Desk positions require drive and determination to support our clients. We seek problem-solvers with a proven team track record, capable of addressing challenging user issues and improving their skills through technical training.
Our Service Desk aims to maximize user uptime and enhance their computing experience via remote monitoring, maintenance, and support activities, along with delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates should be energetic, focused, eager to learn new technologies, and dedicated to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include using remote management tools to support users, updating service requests, handling support calls, prioritizing tasks, and collaborating with staff and vendors to resolve issues. Developing relationships with users and vendors, participating in ongoing training, and preparing reports are also required.
Minimum Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience/certifications.
Minimum three years of technical support experience, preferably in the SMB market.
Excellent knowledge of supported software and technologies (PSA and RMM familiarity).
Strong documentation and writing skills.
Effective communication skills with customers, staff, and vendors.
Passion for teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service.
Well-spoken, organized, dependable, flexible.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Background check and drug screening required.
Reliable transportation.
Good sense of humor and ability to have fun.
Position Tasks:
Perform technical triage on customer requests.
Stage computer equipment for deployments.
Travel to customer locations as needed.
Adapt quickly to changing requirements and enjoy challenges.
Manage ongoing projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
Troubleshoot network, equipment, and service issues remotely.
Obtain multiple vendor certifications within 90 days, with training and mentoring provided.
Analyze remote monitoring reports to identify and remediate issues.
Support and troubleshoot networks, equipment, software, and services for users.
